Wind power in Brazil amounts to an installed capacity of 250MW[1], whilst roughly 1100 MW worth of projects are currently being developed.

Brazilian renewable power company Bioenergy aims to invest 2.12bn reais (US$1.05bn) to build four wind farms in the country's northeast. Specifically, the company wants to develop 530 MW through four projects: Porto dos Ventos (120 MW), Lagoa dos Ventos (90 MW), Miassaba (70 MW) and Rei dos Ventos (250 MW).[2]
